B.E. Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in PREC was established in 2000 and subsequently got approval from AICTE, New Delhi. Since then, it has contributed to and played an important role in the progress of the Institute. The Mechanical Engineering Department is dedicated to deliver competent Mechanical Engineers to the society. The graduating students are outfitted with core technical knowledge as well as professional skills necessary to face the demands of the industry.

The Department has spacious laboratories such as Engineering Practices Lab, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery Lab, Strength of Materials Lab, Manufacturing Technology Lab, Thermal Engineering Lab, Dynamics Lab, Metrology and Measurements Lab, Computer Aided Simulation and Analysis Lab, Mechatronics Lab, CAD/CAM Lab and connected research facilities. All the laboratories are fully equipped with modern and sophisticated equipment.

The Department has young as well as experienced and dynamic faculty, involved in providing quality education. Faculty hail from various disciplines like CAD/CAM, Thermal Engineering, and Engineering Design, Manufacturing etc.
